“Students do learn best, are most interested, and reach higher levels of achievement when academic and technical subjects are taught in context of how they are used in life and work.”
 - Elizabeth Burmaster, Wisconsin State Superintendent of Public Instruction

The Second Chance Youth Apprentice Program is a 21-month integrated educational experience combining youth apprenticeship and proficiency based classroom education.

The program serves at-risk high school juniors and seniors who are severely credit deficient with little hope of graduation from a traditional high school setting.

While developing real-world work skills and earning a paycheck, students earn a diploma from the school district and a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
